DAVAO CITY, Philippines — The natural beauty of Eden Nature Park and Resort captivated guests from Bacoor, Cavite, as they explored the expansive 70-hectare property in Barangay Eden, Toril District, Davao City.

“It’s like you’re in Tagaytay—spacious, clean, and surrounded by beautiful nature,” said Allan Ilas, a tourist. Frequent visitor Jun Obligacion added, “Every year, we travel to study our priorities. In terms of security and cleanliness, Davao is top-notch.”
This Thursday’s visit marked the group’s second trip to Davao City, coinciding with the celebration of the 39th Kadayawan Festival. The Bacoor group consists of over 400 guests, all enjoying the city’s beauty.
Dina Enaje expressed her appreciation for the park, saying she would recommend it to her friends.
The city commercial district glitters at Eden
“I brought our employees here to relax and enjoy the scenery which is perfect as we see the beauty of Davao at night, the sprawling property is a testament to how nature refreshes our emotional being and we had a wonderful time because the park is so relaxing and there is peace while you sleep,” Engineer Raquel Hibionada from Basilan province emphasized.
“It’s Kadayawan! We decorated our resort to reflect the festival theme and prepared a Davao menu featuring dishes like Humba de Davao, along with other Filipino favorites. Our salad showcases unique Davao flavors,” said Celia Sutton, the resort manager.
According to Sutton, the resort’s operations manager, tourists will find plenty to do in the area. There are also cultural dance presentations that celebrate the rich traditions of the 11 tribes in Davao City.
“It’s great that our tour guides can introduce the visitors to the cultural sites that showcase the 11 tribes of Davao during their visit,” she added.
Eden’s fresh salad
Eden Nature Park hosts various performances throughout the year, including local artist Maan Chua, who is known as a Davao icon in Mindanaoan music. Jeline Galagar, the marketing manager stressed.
Chua “is the voice behind the Department of Tourism’s Filipino theme songs, and we are fortunate to have a strong connection with her, allowing us to feature her fashion collections at our shows.” she added.
“We support the Department of Tourism’s mandate to promote Filipino culture and heritage. We emphasize our cultural aspects in Mindanao through our uniforms, which showcase local textiles,” Galagar added.
To celebrate the Kadayawan Festival, the resort is offering a month-long 40% discount on day tours. Guests can enjoy guided shuttle tours and experience cultural performances at the cultural village.
