DAVAO CITY, Philippines — The Court of Appeals has granted the Anti-Money Laundering Council’s (AMLC) request to freeze the bank accounts, properties, and other assets of fugitive pastor Apollo Quiboloy and nine of his associates.
The freeze order was issued by Associate Justice Gabriel T. Robeniol, with the concurrence of Associate Justices Ramon M. Bato Jr. and Mary Charlene V. Hernandez-Azura, on August 7.
The court stated, “To prevent the possibility of the funds in the subject bank accounts and properties from being withdrawn, removed, transferred, concealed, or placed beyond the reach of law enforcement, this Court finds it appropriate and judicious to issue a 20-day freeze order as requested by the petitioner (AMLC).”
The order encompasses the following assets:
- Apollo C. Quiboloy:
- 10 bank accounts with BDO Unibank and Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company
- Seven properties located in Davao City, Davao del Norte, and Roxas City
- Five vehicles, including a Toyota Land Cruiser
- A Cessna 150F aircraft
- The Kingdom of Jesus Christ, The Name Above Every Name (KOJC):
- 47 bank accounts with various banks
- 16 properties across several cities
- 16 vehicles
- Children’s Joy Foundation:
- 23 bank accounts
- One property
- Four vehicles
- Swara Sug Media Corp. (SMNI):
- 17 bank accounts
- Five properties, including a building along EDSA
- 26 vehicles
Additionally, the accounts of Quiboloy’s associates are included in the freeze order:
- Maria Teresita Dandan: nine bank accounts, one property, and one vehicle
- Helen Pagaduan Panilag: two bank accounts and one property
- Paulene Chavez Canada: 27 bank accounts
- Cresente Chavez Canada: four bank accounts
- Ingrid Chavez Canada: seven bank accounts
- Sylvia Calija Cemanes: two bank accounts
- Jackielyn Wong Roy: three bank accounts
- Alona Mertalla Santander: 19 bank accounts
- Marlon Bongas Acobo: three bank accounts
These accounts are traced to various banks, including BDO Unibank, Inc., Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company, Bank of Commerce, Bank of the Philippine Islands, CTBC Bank (Philippines) Corp., Maybank Philippines, Philippine National Bank, Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation, RCBC Savings, Rizal Microbank, Security Bank, EastWest Bank, Green Bank, Philippine Business Bank, and Land Bank of the Philippines.
The freezing of Quiboloy’s and his associates’ bank accounts and properties is expected to significantly impact the operations of institutions owned by Quiboloy and KOJC.
The government has intensified its efforts to apprehend Quiboloy and his associates in light of ongoing investigations.

In response, Quiboloy’s secretary, Eleanor Cardona, stated before the Senate Committee on Peace and Order that the televangelist is not in hiding but is instead trying to preserve his life, claiming that the United States government has plans to exterminate him.
