DAVAO CITY, Philippines — The station manager and a reporter of a radio station in Cotabato province voluntarily surrendered to the Makilala Municipal Police Station following charges related to Child Pornography and violations of the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Law.
The charges arose from allegations of improper dissemination of news concerning minors last month.
Police Colonel John Calinga, chief of the Makilala town police, identified the apprehended broadcasters as Eva, the station manager, and radio reporter Charles.
Calinga said the broadcasters surrendered after learning that their warrants of arrest relative to the case had been out.
The court has set bail at nearly half a million pesos for their temporary release pending further legal proceedings.
