DAVAO CITY, Philippines — The City Police recently conducted a crash course on bomb awareness and identification in preparation for the upcoming Kadayawan sa Davao Festival.
City Police Director Col. Hansel Marantan stated that this training is essential not only for the Kadayawan Festival but also for ensuring the overall safety and security of the Davao community.
As the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) gears up for the 39th Kadayawan Festival, meticulous preparations have been implemented, including a bomb awareness and identification seminar. This seminar, led by Marantan, took place on July 24, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at the DCPO Parade Ground.
Marantan emphasized the importance of equipping all personnel with the skills to recognize and identify various types of explosives, particularly at border controls and checkpoints.
The DCPO is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable event experience for all Davaoeños and visitors. They encourage everyone to foster a culture of security by promptly reporting any unusual or suspicious activities.
