SARANGANI – In a significant step towards supporting the Supplementary Feeding Program, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region Twelve provided essential supplies to Malungon, Sarangani Province.
These supplies, including various food items such as eggs and vegetables, as well as grocery items, were delivered to the Sunken Arena in Malungon, Sarangani Province. This marks the initial batch of supplies sent by the DSWD Region Twelve for the city’s Supplementary Feeding Program.
Malungon Mayor Tessa Constantino personally received the supplies from DSWD on October 25. The goal is to distribute these provisions to 5,238 daycare pupils across 145 daycare centers in 31 barangays of Malungon.
Parents of the beneficiaries were present during the distribution, along with staff from the DSWD Field Office Twelve, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, and Early Childhood Care and Development workers.
The local government and DSWD expressed their gratitude for the supplies, emphasizing the significant assistance provided to the children and their families.
The Supplementary Feeding Program supplements the regular meals of children currently enrolled in daycare centers, contributing to the DSWD’s Early Childhood Care and Development Program.
