‘Francisco,’ Habagat to Bring Widespread Rains Across PH — PAGASA on NewsLine Philippines - Building Information Highway for the Community

MANILA (June 21) – PAGASA said Severe Tropical Storm Francisco and the southwest monsoon (habagat) will continue to bring rains over large parts of the country on Sunday.
As of the latest update, Francisco has intensified with maximum winds of 100 kph and gusts up to 125 kph, located 1,315 km east of southeastern Luzon and moving west-northwest at 25 kph.
Its trough will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Bicol and Eastern Visayas, with possible flooding and landslides. Meanwhile, the habagat will affect Mindanao, the rest of the Visayas, and Palawan.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon may experience isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. No tropical cyclone wind signal has been raised, but the public is advised to remain alert and monitor updates.
