Philippine Government Provides Aid to Family of OFW Killed in Israel on NewsLine Philippines - Building Information Highway for the Community

MANILA (March 15) — The Philippine government will extend assistance to the family of Mary Ann De Vera, who was killed during an Iranian strike while seeking shelter in Israel, the Department of Migrant Workers announced Saturday.
De Vera’s remains arrived in Manila Saturday morning and were received by her husband, Bernie Lavarias, alongside Filipino officials and Israeli Ambassador Dana Kursh.
DMW Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac said the government has coordinated aid for De Vera’s family in Pangasinan and expressed gratitude to Israel for facilitating the repatriation. President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. also directed coordination with both Israeli and Philippine ambassadors to ensure a smooth process.
OWWA Chief Patricia Yvonne Caunan said officials will personally visit De Vera’s relatives in Pangasinan on Monday.
