Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila is honoring Pride Month by partnering with The Venture Out Project, a queer and trans-led collective that leads wilderness trips and outdoor adventures for the LGBTQ+ community.
818—a brand that is itself committed to sustainability and environmental preservation—has donated $50,000 to the Massachusetts-based organization. Employees will also take part in Beyond Bathrooms, a virtual workshop from The Venture Out Project that aims to educate others about transgender issues in order to build trans-affirming communities.
“At 818, our priority is protecting the earth and supporting all of its people. That’s why we are supporting The Venture Out Project this Pride Month,” Jenner exclusively tells BAZAAR.com. “The Venture Out Project is an incredible organization that shares our passion for sustainability—their mission is to bring the magic of the outdoors to LGBTQ+ communities through backpacking, camping, and conservation trips.”

The model, who founded 818 last year, shared her vision for the company in the future, saying that she hopes it continues to provide a platform to give back.
“It’s been amazing to see how much 818 has accomplished in just over a year,” she says. “As we enter year two, I see 818 continuing to grow, engaging with our customers in new and interesting ways, and staying committed to our sustainability mission. I want us to be known for our delicious-tasting tequila and also for how we continue to give back to local communities.”
As for what she prefers to make for herself when she’s at home, Jenner adds, “I love a margarita, so I’m often mixing up Kenny’s Favorite Marg, but also I love to kick back with a neat pour of our 818 Añejo.”
