Dakota Johnson’s latest street style outfits are giving us serious summer inspiration.
Johnson was photographed yesterday in New York City wearing a casual yet elevated look, put together with the help of her longtime stylist, Kate Young.
She wore a creamy ribbed knit crop top and matching cardigan by The Andamane, which she paired with wide-leg navy trousers from Khaite. She finished the look with Wandler heeled mules.
After her casual outing, Johnson swapped her knitwear for a more formal ensemble for an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Going androgynous, she wore a black velvet suit from Saint Laurent and added a girly touch with sparkling Jimmy Choo stilettos.
As far as hair and makeup went, Johnson opted for natural waves by Mark Townsend and elegant glam from Georgie Eisdell. She dressed up the look with a smoky eye and dark eyeliner.
The Fifty Shades actress is currently in the midst of promoting two upcoming films, Netflix’s Persuasion and Apple TV+’s Cha Cha Real Smooth.

Johnson tries to remain somewhat consistent with her street style. In a 2021 interview with ELLE UK, she opened up about what her style means to her.
“To go out into the world, do hair and make-up and wear an outfit to look a certain way, it’s super jarring,” she said. “So to wear clothes in which I feel like myself is vital. I feel like Ok this is a version of me.“
