Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy is grateful for Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher.

On Twitter Sunday, the leader shared a photo of himself in a Zoom meeting with the actor couple.

“@aplusk & Mila Kunis were among the first to respond to our grief. They have already raised $35 million & are sending it to @flexport & @Airbnb to help refugees. Grateful for their support. Impressed by their determination. They inspire the world. #StandWithUkraine,” he wrote.

Kutcher and wife Kunis—who was born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine—launched a fundraising campaign to help her war-torn country as it deals with Russia’s continued attacks.

“We’re raising funds to support a relief effort that will have immediate impact and supply much-needed refugee and humanitarian aid to the area. The principle challenge right now is logistics. We need to get housing, and we need to get supplies and resources into the area,” they said in a video statement posted to Instagram and GoFundMe’s YouTube channel in early March.

Other celebrities, friends, and fans praised the pair and vowed to donate to the cause. “Donating now! 🇺🇦,” actress Reese Witherspoon commented on the post. “Fellow Ukrainian here 🥺💙💛🇺🇦. Love this. Donating and sharing. Thank you two for your beautiful work. ❤❤❤❤❤❤,” interior designer and TV personality Jillian Harris wrote.

And just last week, the stars surpassed their $30 million goal.

“We just want to say that we hit our goal,” Kunis—who will be a presenter at this Sunday’s Oscars—said in an Instagram video shared Thursday. She and Kutcher said more than 65,000 people helped them raise the funds for Ukrainians in need.

“Our work is not done. We’re going to do everything we can to ensure the outpouring of love that came from you all as a part of this campaign finds a maximum impact for those in need,” Kutcher said.

They added that they will continue to welcome donations and are committed to making sure “every dollar” goes toward helping the Ukrainian people.
