(December 7)– Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions from Tuesday to Friday, December 9-12, 2025, in different parts of Davao and Panabo Cities.

The first set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate line and substation works at the Bunawan Substation. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9.

Specifically affected are those from Daang Maharlika Highway from Bottle King Enterprise Tibungco going to Buhisan Elementary School and nearby areas, and from Palawan Pawnshop Bunawan going to Cabantian-Bunawan Road up to Flying V gas station, including Bosque, San Isidro, and Piatos.

To facilitate the necessary works, a 3-hour power interruption will be conducted from 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, to 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10. Customers from Bunawan Cemetery going to Bosque, San Isidro, and Piatos will be affected by this service disruption.

Further, an 8-hour power interruption will also be conducted to facilitate the necessary works. This will be from 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, to 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10. Specifically affected are those from the Davao Light Don Ramon Substation going to Bunawan Market Road up to Cabantian-Bunawan Road, including Mahayag and Gatungan areas, and from Buhisan Elementary School going to RUSI Purok 2 Bunawan, and nearby areas.

Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 1 hour from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10, affecting customers from Daang Maharlika Highway from Palawan Pawnshop Bunawan going to Cabantian-Bunawan Road up to Flying V gas station, including Bosque, San Isidro, and Piatos.

The second set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate line works at the Gredu Substation. The load transfer will be conducted for 45 minutes anytime between 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 11. Meanwhile, the normalization will be conducted for 45 minutes anytime between 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Friday, December 12. Specifically affected are those from Daang Maharlika Highway from Panabo City Hall going to Maryknoll College of Panabo, including Panabo Poblacion areas, and from Panabo Wharf Road going to Panabo Poblacion up to Panabo Bus Terminal.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
